Ubisoft is expected to announce a new videogame in their press conference. I am almost positive it will be the new Driver game.

I dunno bout the rest of you...But it looks like Sony has a major advertising budget for this convention based on these pictures above. i don't think they would spend that type of money unless they had some really cool news like FF XIII goes PS3 exclusive or sums*hit like that (just a silly example). I am pretty anxious to here what they have to say, based on all the advertising.

I was more thinking that most of these adds came from their own respective company, and not specificly from Sony or anyone.

Like that FFXIII billdboard and stairway add, coming directly from S-E, etc.

Is that not the case?

I dont think the price on controllers will drop. Xbox controllers are still $50 as well. And also controllers and other accessories are where the money is made since you lose so much on the system hardware. Gotta make it up somewhere unfortunately.

I think Sony will have some good news, MS might have some nice stuff as well, and Nintindo will suck again just like last year. Another top notch year ahead for Sony I hope.

But I really hope for some NetFlix streaming integration on the PS3 so I really have no reason to turn on my 360.

I don't think you would see any company like Sony or MS advertise a game at a convention that is multi-platform. Their attitude, and justly so, is if you are releasing it console wide then you (the developer) eat the advertising expense, otherwise if Sony advertised FFXIII they would be building the hype/revenue for MS as well (and vice-versa), just my opinion.

Except for the "arm holding Sony hardware" ads, every game featured in a photo on this page (above this post anyway) is either multi-platform or 360 exclusive. Okay, there's a corner of an ad from SOE, which could be something for the PS3. Maybe.

I was hoping for hulu integration myself, looks like I'm going to be disappointed.

I'm sure there's plenty of room for Sony to shine; the stuff leaking out about the 360 (hulu integration, Secret of Monkey Island) are small things, but they're important to me. Yes, Playon will take care of Netflix and hulu, but free integration into the console would be much better. Secret of Monkey Island won't sell me a 360, but it'll be one of the first things I buy if I do end up getting one (Project Slypheed being the first thing, curse you SE).

If Sony can get the Mass Effect franchise on the PS3 also, that'll help a lot. For an Unreal-engine game with an IP that's now owned by EA, I'm a touch surprised at the continued exclusivity.

EDIT: Maybe you mean that you dont see a lot of Sony advertising? If so, I was focusing on the main builing ad at the entrance that must have cost a small fortune in itself.

Eh, I put this right up there with the "Fallout 3 DLC packs ARE exclusive" comment they made like 3 days before the announcement that they were coming to PS3.

Even if the rumor is true, I don't buy for a second that this is really a last minute addition, I think it would have been planned but done this way to generate hype. Sales-speak.

PS - Getting something that could have been exclusive as a multiplatform would hardly be "the worst". An announcement that games that were previously thought multiplatform are 360 exclusive but be much worse, and that's not even the worst I can think of.
