Temura is 61. If Boba was 10 in AOTC, he's only around 36 in ROTJ. Daniel Logan is 34.

Guess you can see where I'm going with this.

The more I get into working out, the more this annoys me.

Any one of the six packed Marvel guys would be far stronger with body fat on them. Every one of those characters are working at less than peak condition.

He actually looked in a lot better shape here than he did in The Mandalorian

Then go through my posting history, because you must have me confused with Caseybear, who seems to like everything and especially loves it more if it's a pile of excrement.

I thought he was just gonna
[Show spoiler]flamethrower their feet under the shields.... Seemed silly to have him of all people surrounded and "stuck". Jetpack would have made short work of them.

No real opinion on the first episode one way or the other, need to see more. The street fight did feel like they thought it was awesome but it was pretty mediocre at best.

A few years ago Daniel Logan posted a photo of himself in Boba Fett gear. Sure looks like Temura at a younger age to me. That might have been interesting. BTW I enjoyed the show.

I heard this takes place after Return of the Jedi, but the person who said that must be wrong or I heard wrong because
[Show spoiler]Boba Fett got knocked into the Sarlacc pit by Han Solo.

It does. The entire show takes place inside the Sarlacc. While in there he finds a notepad, and a pen, and journals his predicament. Hence the name The Book of Boba Fett.

I have to say after how great the first two seasons of The Mandalorian were, and as a fan of Boba Fett, my anticipation was high for this new series, but this first episode was pretty disappointing.

I just think the show should have started with a bigger bang. Having Boba Fett take on the mantle of a crime lord with a fair and just point of view is one thing, but he comes off a bit too soft in his demeanor. I know that's probably the point, which is why Fennec Shand advises him to show strength in his position, but she's right. The character seems to be coming off a bit too weak to me. Even in that street fight when they were ambushed he came off pretty weak.

I love the concept of the series, but I think the direction is somewhat off in this first episode, both when it comes to the execution of the story and the character. I'm surprised how weak it is considering it's directed by Robert Rodriguez, who also gave us Boba Fett's reintroduction within The Mandalorian series in such a kick ass way.

I guess I really wanted to see Boba Fett fully immersed in the role of crime lord after taking the throne. There should still be an air of intimidation from him, even when he's trying to use respect over fear to rule. There should certainly be people and events that challenge him in his new position, but I don't want the show to be all about him bumbling through it in order to come out on top. If it does go that route, I really hope we get to a point where we have a real turn in the character, where we see Boba Fett proving he's not someone to be trifled with --- a real "I am the one who knocks" or "I am the villain of the story" moment.

I really didn't care much for the whole backstory with the sandpeople either. Very cliche cowboy captured by Indians and earns their respect type of scenario. It didn't need to take up so much of the already too short episode.

Of course, I'll continue watching, but my fingers are crossed that it gets much better and it goes on to being something great.

Tell me you're complaining about a show you didn't watch without actually saying "I didn't watch it"...

Despite the fact that I actually enjoyed The Mandalorian, I was disappointed with the premiere episode of Book of Boba Fett. The pacing of the episode didn't feel like it was going anywhere. I hope it gets better but Lucasfilm needs to step up its game.

Looks like someone didnt read their Sun Tzu. "When you surround an army, leave an outlet free. Do not press a desperate foe too hard" and the converse of that is if your enemy is leaving you an outlet, don't take it because you know they've got that avenue covered.

Or in the words of a wise admiral. . . .

All he had to do was just use his jetpack to gain the high ground, then use his flamethrower on the bad guys, being careful not to hit Fennec. Easiest fight ever - if he was still such a badarse
