Hope the Dr Strange teaser trailer is on the 4K or Bluray disc. Would Sony take the trailer off the end credits since it is a Marvel Studio movie trailer?

The last time they rented ad space for another distributor in their credits (ASM2), they didn't include it on the home video release.

Placed an order for this the minute it popped up on Amazon, so hopefully it won't suffer the same fate as all the rest of the Disney discs (like Roger Rabbit that I'm still waiting to be delivered).

Spidey is Sony not Disney, so you should have zero issues.

Then again, home movies were just becoming a thing and it took well over a year to be able to purchase these ($100+ for the titles back then). If memory serves me correct, ET was not available for public release until 1988 (I remember because I won a contest to own a copy).

Having said that, I much prefer obtaining a movie much quicker nowadays.

It was another time back then: not everybody had an VHS or Laserdisc. and especially there were no DVD/bluray or streaming services to make money. Today nearly everbody has dvd/bluray or at least streaming. and due this pandemie covid etc time (some movie theatres are still not open or closing recently again - depends on area/country) it's the only way to make money to release it soon as possible.

Question is... will the Blu-ray have the 1.90:1 IMAX aspect ratio (the entire movie was shot in it), or will that be saved for the "IMAX Enhanced" digital copy on Bravia Core?

Doubt it, since that's not the original aspect ratio. Plenty of films have opened up "fake" iMAX ratios that aren't duplicated on home video, because that's not the the original composition of the images.

Damn, Walmart is using my favorite poster and I’m going to buy it. I wish it was used on a steelbook instead though. Looks like I’m going to own this movie three times now. Lol

Said it countless times over many threads about this release. Thank god for the Walmart Exclusive!

It's my favorite poster for the movie, it should've been the artwork used from the damn start.

Man, if that Walmart art had been applied to a Steelbook, it would’ve been perfection.

I know where I’ll be getting my copy at. Like the cover a lot. I just hope the store I work at gets more than the usual 3-4 copies of a new release.

Yes it will be. iTunes/Apple TV is your best bet, they have the largest selection of 4K HDR/Dolby Vision titles.

Didn't and won't watch any trailer whatsoever, but the Walmart Exclusive cover seems rather spoilerish to me at any rate. Meh.

I obviously won't click. And will just stay from any No Way Home freds from now on. I really like to know as little as possible before watching a movie.
