Default The Lost World (TV series 1999-2002)

I'm just watching this series for the first time at the moment, and I have to say, it's quite a lot of fun -- a bit like Terra Nova, but with admittedly poorer SFX. Certainly better than any other Lost World adaptation to date, be it in film or on television.

Weak CGI aside, the jungle settings are terrific, and I can't help but think how much better it would all look at a higher resolution than on DVD (which is how I'm viewing it).

U.S. and U.K. DVD sets were issued, but these are long out of print, so they fetch ludicrously inflated reseller prices.

Also, the series was recently re-released on DVD in Germany, so it is in print. No blu-ray, though, which is a disappointment.

The reissue testifies to the lingering popularity of the series.

Given the fact that the Region 1 DVDs are out of print, though, a blu-ray issue would likely sell well.
