I was happy to see the back of Nick as his character always rubbed me the wrong way. I agree it was a miss to kill off Madison though, so I'm happy to see her come back.

On the other hand, Alicia was a character I didn't think much of for the first couple seasons, who developed extremely well over time. I always thought they made a mistake moving people from TWD to FTWD. Turning it into the Morgan Jones show always rubbed me the wrong way. |

Sadly I thought it was awful clearly no budget a distinct lack of innovation in the script and about three locations on the ship acting wasn't great either. wrapped up very quickly I had actually forgotten about nick stahl's character. If you've seen the sci fi show Day of the Dead it's remarkably similar in budget & tone to that show minus the comedy elements. The idea was sound execution lacking. |

His sister Alicia could be just as selfish and useless - the group of people she was with at one stage were struggling to get enough food and rather than help she decides drive around for weeks painting trees. |

Episodes premised around a character having a mental breakdown/delusions tend to be among the worst TWD or FTWD episodes. Episode 7x09 with Alicia was no different. Truly one of the worst FTWD episodes to date. Literally the only interesting thing in the episode was

Am I the only one who finds Howard oddly likable? The guy survived countless years surviving more or less on his own, so he clearly has some serious survival skills. Wish he'd just oust Strand and take over, but I think his fate is too tied to Strand at this point.
I know they've mentioned Howard apparently having a wife in the past a few times, but I still can't shake the feeling that Howard and Strand have something more than a leader/right-hand-man relationship going on. Like they are lovers on the side, which would explain a lot about Howard's otherwise unexplainable attachment to Strand. Last edited by ChadFL; 04-21-2022 at 01:52 AM. |

It makes no sense as you say.
He has the ability to not only survive but thrive throughout the apocalypse even managing to preserve artwork so clearly, he's competent sadly like a lot of characters he's merely a plot device in this case for Strand to survive. I still can't understand when the nukes went off they both stood there at the window and the explosion just sort of petered out not even smashing the window. Daniel is another shot basically point-blank in the head just jogs it off and survives. |

I believe so. The plot armor is especially think with Daniel. He has more lives than Skidmark the cat (no clue what happened to that cat). I haven't liked what they've done with him since about season 3. They should have kept him the perpetually gloomy, hard edged Daniel rather than turning him into the smiling barber. He still shows flashes of the Daniel from early in the series, but it's less and less.

The destruction of the dam with daniel being shot point blank in the head was meant to be the end for him. His daughter didn't last much longer & Nick left around the same time then Maidson. I think they wanted the Strand show which they kinda have with Strand & Alicia now. I think to counter this they wanted to bring an established character which is when were got the Morgan Jones show. |

Seems like Frank Dillane made a poor career move when he left FTWD. He's done next to nothing in the years since he departed the show. Wonder if it's because he looks like Johnny Depp, whose reputation took a toll right around the same time Dillane left the show.

I had hoped the family and extended family would've just spent a few years in post apocalypse California before they met Strand and set out on the Abigail.
