Haven't seen it in a while, I think it was a mainstay on telly around Christmas, last time I watched it was on iPlayer.

Will try and watch it before the 007s arrive on Amazon Prime.

They did a big wave of titles about a year ago and then nothing since! I know some import the French/German versions and though foreign text doesn’t really bug me usually, I would rather get the American releases but they usually end up more expensive or harder to import.

I’m pretty sure I saw it on TV as a kid but it took me a while to find the title and I haven’t seen it since. I remember a guy on a bicycle going through a tunnel and getting run over and then he ends up in heaven? Beatty is a really fascinating figure as actor and director though.

Yes, this is that movie Beatty is great, as are Charles Grodin and Julie Christie. I saw this before HERE COMES MR JORDAN so I’ve always preferred this adaptation myself but they’re both very good.

Re Psramount, yeah we had the initial ports via the Premium Collection and then the odd release like ROMAN HOLIDAY but the well’s run a bit dry beyond those. A shame. I don’t mind foreign releases either, particularly region B releases, but if there’s a region-free release available I’ll usually pay a little more to get that instead, especially if it’s a favourite. I’m region free but where possible, unless there’s a significant quality gap in terms of presentation or extras, I prefer to have region B copies just in case
