Hahaha. Same here. It’s cliche, but I like spaceships, car chases, superheroes, explosions and ALL the vintage stuff. Can hardly wait for I, the Jury, Treasure of the Four Crowns, The Diamond Wizard and Robot Monster.

Just again watched Sea Rex.

Great 3D and picture quality and a very interesting documentary. Highly recommended.

Rewatched Shang-Chi again.

I appreciate the effort of its 3D, but now that I have seen more 3D, I see that the conversion held back too much on the strength of the 3D. The consensus of my watch party was that the conversion was only 50 to 75% as strong as it ought to have been.

However, I did see it on a normal Full HD projector, I'll give it one last go with the "Nuclear Option": a low-res short-throw projector that I'll view from under 6' away, and (unlike fancier projectors) allows digital zooming while 3D is active. This is the brute force method of enhancing weaker parallax in conversions.

For at least another week and some change, it still holds the crown of "Best Phase 4 MCU film"

I would say 50-75% for most of the movie is fair. But certain pop outs were closer to 100%, especially the dart in sister's training montage. The second dart comes out of the screen, but not by much and it's a quick. But the first dart clearly comes right out of the screen directly towards you. At full speed this still can make me wince.

Black Widow has grown on me but I would agree with this overall and Shang-chi certainly got the best reception from critics and audiences. Audiences gave a cinemascore matching Winter Soldier and Infinity War. Only The Avengers, Endgame and Black Panther got higher (the highest A+) score.

Finally got official copies They posted Black Widow in a cardboard box twice the size of the disc.
Question: Is it worth buying Journey to the West: Conquering Demons? I know it's not 3D but it is Steven Chow.

Watched Monster Hunter. Typical Milla with some good 3D and very good audio. Recommended for Milla fans.

There's a lot of shots that seem to be not in 3D, but the ones that are make up for it. It goes well with the visual effects and is very noticeable in all of the action/thrill scenes. It looked cool and interesting and although story wise I think it's one of the weaker sequels, I'd rewatch it for the 3D.
Oh man re the story this is the best in entire series for me, which was the reason I bought it even though the reviews here were lukewarm. I watched them all. TEHO. Re the 3D, I agree with you.

I think it's just a matter of time. Among CGI movies, this could be the best.

I rewatched Resident Evil Afterlife 3D one more time. This time i did zoom cropped to see if it improved.

It did improve a bit... noticed the rain drops falling over the text on the opening(really nice touch on that), but the movie isn't done with zoom in mind so some footage gets out of the screen.

The problems i did noticed earlier watch(airfield being in layers instead of depth, the Alice clones breaking the window is a little off and one shot of outside window of airplane that give cross eyes) don't work well.

Still a good movie, too bad in 2010 the tech and people weren't prepared to fully master 3D to make it flawless on those issues.

Watched Assassin’s Creed again. Really like the movie and I found the 3D to be very good. Highly recommended.

Edit: Soundtrack is also excellent.

Just again watched Taza, Son of Cochise.

Outstanding 3d restoration. Great color and depth. We had visited Moab Utah and Monument Valley and the gorgeous 3D brought those images back to life.

It's depiction of native Americans was a bit more dignified considering the mores if the time.

Very much recommended.

Jupiter Ascending

Strong

Pros
- Negative Parallax
- Nice layering
- Great depth! Lots of 'em, with aerial shots looking down. It tickles the eyes and the mind.
- Pop-outs!
- The flower

Cons
- One scene too dark to make of the background I had to take my glasses off. C'mon tech staff, you can make the feel of dark even with ample lighting. This is not a horror story.

Movie. A fun thrill ride. If you want sci-fi when your mind is tired from work of life in general and you just want to decompress and chill, this is an excellent movie to watch. The visuals are stunning and worthy of Star Trek, Star Wars and Guardians of Galaxy comparisons. I enjoyed but it does not scream watch me again right away but that's just my take on it.
