The 75" 8K Sony Z9J, last year's model, is on sale for just $4000 (marked down from $6000). https://www.bestbuy.com/site/sony-75...?skuId=6459309 If you want this year's model, the Sony 75" 8K Z9K with mini LED technology, then be prepared to spend about $7000. It should be available to buy sometime this month or next. ![]() https://www.notebookcheck.net/Sony-a...20US%247%2C000. "State of the art" immersive surround sound headphones can cost more than either of these TVs and even well into 5 figures. True "state of the art" electronics are not for the faint of heart...or wallet. Do not use the term if you don't really mean it. ![]() And for what good purpose would you be buying any of these? To watch Netflix with their anemic single digit bit rate streams and with their lossy audio? What overkill and what a waste, but, hey, it's your money. ![]() ![]() Last edited by Vilya; 05-03-2022 at 02:09 PM. |

Like Vilya says, these guys that have High-End Systems don't do Basic. But when a Projector alone cost $25K, you know their Playgrounds are unmatched!
The scary part is they are barely scratching the surface, there are always better and more expensive Systems out there! |

I really do like simple so I think I prefer that over basic. In my home theater I do strive for simple. Last edited by bhampton; 05-03-2022 at 01:23 PM. |

Wasn't the otherwise legendary Sony Z9D known to have crosstalk problems when displaying 3D content? I seem to remember hallucinating that.
Looks like the Godfather 4K thread got locked down for who knows how long without really addressing the persistent problem therein. Last edited by Vilya; 05-03-2022 at 05:48 PM. |

![]() Both my wired and wireless home networks offer "solid" consistent connections. Now if only the same could be said about my ISP. ![]() Historically, virtually all of my connectivity issues have been the fault of either my ISP or that of the streaming/ game server that I am trying to connect with. My home networks, wired and wireless, were not to blame. All of my hdmi devices are already connected with hdmi cables; I see no reason to change anything. Running a few feet of hdmi cable between device and display is nowhere near the same thing as running ethernet cable to every internet connected device in every room in the house.
