The authors of the film talk about some kind of authenticity, but I did not see this. Mel Gibson's movie had real Indians playing...

Don't know if this has been mentioned but I purchased tickets today to see JW: Dominion via Fandango and one of the perks was getting a code for a one month free subscription to Hulu. I already get Hulu free via Sprint/T-Mobile but for those who don't and want to see Prey it might come in handy

So a Predator with advanced technology will go up against a Native American girl with basically a tomohawk, bow & arrow & whatever other primitive weapons they have? What possible reason could the Predator have to find her worthy to hunt in the first place? Also she’ll most likely end up wining despite her obvious disadvantage. I’ll still check it out since I have Hulu anyway but I have zero hopes for this.

The Predator as a character I’ve always liked & the potential for really good action/horror/sci-fi movies is there but after 1 & 2 it seems they just can’t get it right.

Hard to say without seeing it. Perhaps it is not hunting her. Maybe it kills off the armed males --(friends/family/boyfriend) and she chooses to hunt it. Then the Predator has to kill her even if she would not normally be fair game.
If I was a betting person I would guess she will lead it into a trap/location we see at the beginning. She's not going to overpower it -- neither did Arnold. She's on home ground.

It sure seems like it will be. I’m quite sure the supercharged female protagonist will bypass the tribe hierarchy and rise straight to the top. . Probably claim she’s a Skywalker at the end.

I love when people use this lame comparison. How did Arnold win in the first film? Mud and traps. His heavily armed teammates with top of the line weaponry and testosterone to spare couldn't do crap.

Like they're really going to have her charge in there and use her body weight and bare hands in direct combat. She's going to use the art of leverage just like Dutch did in the first one.

I'm ok with that. In fact, I think this film should have had TWO supercharged female protagonists who fight this Predator together.
