Preordered. Loved this film since I was a kid. I didn't get the Criterion because of the 4K streaming version, so I figured it would be out on 4K eventually.

Where did you pre-order it? Amazon.com has pulled their pre-order as of this morning. It's not on Deepdiscount either. Also, I can't find it on Diabolikdvd.

I will wait for all the reviews before buying although I want WWC too
I find the criterion too purple looking.

I would say, to my eyes, Criterion looks slightly better, overall. Actually, though, my wife and I played a game by her putting in one disc set to a specific chapter, and then the second disc, same chapter, and did this a few times, I could not tell the difference.

Still, when I sit down to watch the entire movie, I've played the Criterion disc more times.

I watched this on Apple TV and it looked great. It has Dolby Vision too. There is some weird pixelation in the shadows but that is probably a glitch with the app.

Maybe the wire removal, some shots look great while others are more obvious

Like the Criterion blu-ray, not the HD streaming version or Imprint blu-ray.

Unfortunately they all have the same music glitch when the credits kick in, missing a layer of orchestra which is why is sounds abit clunky. Someone needs to notify their audio restoration team about it.

Let's hope they fix the opening music during the credits.

It can be seen in scenes that have no effects so its definitely a problem with the TV app.

I would imagine they'd need to restore WWC before investing in a 4K release. The Imprint blu-ray is said to be unrestored, lots of dirt. And that might be the same master used for the Paramount blu-ray.

I thought they had remastered WWC?

Remastered yes, not restored. There's quite a bit of speckling and other issues with the picture. Looks better than the DVD but it really needs some TLC.

Talking about the Imprint BD and the current HD stream which uses the same master as the Imprint.

Some scenes reminded me of LaserDisc rot they were speckled so badly.
