I think Predators was the closest to capture the spirit of the first. Looking forward to Prey.

I laughed when I saw the Disney + logo, they really need to come up with a special logo for their Alien and Predator films along with anything that doesn’t feel Disney…kinda like Marvel is it’s own division. Disney horror needs its own division… maybe a methed out Mickey with a bloody knife lol

Probably in the minority but I love all the movies in this franchise. They each bring something different to the table. The kind of movies I can rewatch over and over and never get tired of. Can't think of any other franchise with this many entries that I can say the same about. Anyways, hope this movie is at least somewhat successful to not be a franchise killer.

I find it fascinating that this Franchise is so closely associated with one particular actor…but that actor was only in one film

Nothing but love for Arnold!

My preliminary ranking would be:

2 - Predator 2
3 - Predators
4 - AVP
5 - AVP: R
6 - The Predator

I'm sure having The Predator below AVP:R may raise some eyebrows, but to me The Predator was bad and boring, while AVP:R is just bad.
This sounds about right.
I can’t comment much about AVP: R and the Predator.
I’ve seen both only once when they came out.
I did buy The Predator, but I have yet to watch it.
From what I remember it was chaotic in storytelling.

I'm going strictly off action and getting to see cool deaths.. Thats all these franchises are anymore because they don't really advance the narratives or build a universe in any sense.

1. Predator(S) (most action, feels like this was going to bring us some real progression in the universe at the end if it had got a sequel etc.)
2. Predator 2 (some of the movie really sucks though)
3. Predator (probably should be 1 cause its the all around best movie)
4. AVP:R (minus about the first 30-40 minutes of the wasteful kids interaction)
5. AVP (coulda been way higher if they didn't kill off the two predators so fast

Way down here The Predator (just not a good movie)

All I'm hoping for out of Prey is a watchable movie because they can't really progress a story with a prequel dating that far back lol.

This looks really strong - both in concept and visuals. I'm immensely looking forward to this.

Nice to see people being positive over something instead of the usual sequel gloom and doom.

I mean…I’m def gonna watch it! Been rewatching all the Predator films the past week or so.

After watching PREDATOR, I find myself going back to watch the 3rd act alone . The entire movie is awesome; but I love seeing Arnold get primordial to take on this predator.

I really like them all. Curious to see People’s ranking of the Predator creatures (not the movies).

Mine:
1) Jungle Hunter
2) The Wolf
3) City Hunter
4) Bererker Predator
5) Scar
6) Fugitive Predator
7) Super Predator

As it is shared between Hulu and Disney+ Star/Hotstar, it only has the Disney+ on international advertisements. The movie, like all recent 20th Century direct to streaming films, will only have the 20th Century Studios leader at the start and in the credits.

It actually does.

I was on the fence for a bit with this film... and I still don't quite know how Trachtenberg works for me as a filmmaker, as I absolutely hated the third act of '10 Cloverfield Lane' (although I think his original third act was changed by mandate of Abrams and studio, if I recall correctly?) -- but yeah, overall, the visuals and tone, and the fact it's R-rated, is all promising. This could turn out to be a surprise hit of the summer.

It’s not raising my eyebrows. The Predator was atrocious and easily the worst in the series…. Easily.
