France Arthur: Malediction - Bizarre "Sequel" To Luc Besson's "Arthur & The Invisibles"?

This apparently came out in France back in June... and somehow it's a horror film??????

Details:

Quote:
from what I can gleam, I guess Arthur and the Invisibles is very popular in France for some goddamn reason, and some students in Luc Besson’s film school wrote a horror script where a group of teens go to visit the house the movie was shot at, and then shit goes down. apparently this movie has very little connection to the original film apart from the trappings of the premise
Quote:
Besson (who directed the original) was supposedly very impressed by this script, and not only decided to produce it as a feature film, not only cast his daughter in one of the lead roles, but also took credit for the screenplay over his students.
Quote:
Luc Besson did not direct Arthur, malédiction (which translates to “Arthur, curse”), that was instead a dude with the last name “Grossman,” which is close enough to Luc Besson

it was shot in secret during lockdown, it came out in France two months ago, and apparently it’s really bad
No US release as of yet..
