Not expired but now that Vudu has the 4K’s on there, no clue if it redeems in HD or 4K.

The digital code shouldn't be expired. Not sure if the code had redeemed in 4K because I sold it on ebay.

The will only redeem HD. From what I gather, it will never redeem 4K since they wouldn't have had a reason to differentiate btw 4k and BD codes.

Nice price, but I don’t think I could deal with the stacked/scratched discs headache.

Like quite a few others $99 is my sweet spot. Also had $25 Amazon Prime points saved up so $75 plus tax final price. I'm a happy camper!

I gotta re-think this. Glad you reminded me about stacked discs.

Considering the only option to get this set on 4K is this box set, I'd rather deal with stacked discs than no discs at all. There are replacement 4K cases you can buy as well but they aren't cheap either, at least from what I've seen.

So. . . having seen only 1 episode of this, the gist is 1 - 4 seasons are great, and 5 - 8 are not? Thanks.

Opinions vary. I actually loved most of it until the second half of the final season.

My honest opinion:
1.08 + 2.09 are masterpieces.
Season 1 is great.
Seasons 2-4 are fine (some really great moments and some awful ones).
Seasons 5-6 are not that good but still bearable, albeit mostly boring.
Seasons 7-8 are dreadful, though there are 2 moments in season 8 that are a highlight for me in the entire show.

1-4 is excellent yes

5-6 are actually really good they are much better when you can binge it instead of waiting weekly

7-8 are basically like popcorn blockbusters highly entertaining with lots of memorable moments but lacking the more character development moments that where very present through S1-6 , spectacle takes precedence in these two seasons but still well worth watching imo

Lots of different opinions but it's quite common for people to praise the first 4 seasons, 5 and 6 still being good but not quite as tight and well executed as the first 4 seasons (some arcs drag or feel a little wasted but overall still good seasons), and season 7 and 8 feel like they're rushing for the finish line, with the elements that made the earlier seasons good dropping noticeably in quality.

I have found that it seems more likely for people who binge the show (who haven't seen it before) to not be so fussed by the later seasons, as they're likely not getting as attached, like those of us who waited for each season as they were produced and aired and potentially soaked up more of the show, emotionally speaking.

Not my player when the same disc fails in the UHD drive as well. The UHD drives are usually more resilient btw

Recent Amazon shenanigans. I myself had already returned one set for scratched playback discs. Common thing these days Amazon has been reshrinking items and selling them as new, Escape From LA is an example.

The stacking caused lots of damaged discs with playback issues, at least in the first pressing.

I’m honestly probably good with my regular blu-rays for now. Maybe the UK set, which doesn’t have stacking, will have a price drop too at some point.
