At least we have the ending of Game Of Death that Bruce shot before he passed away. Still can't believe that they shot the rest of the movie with a different actor. Just horrible. Him fighting the different styles is Kung fu gold.

Not a fan of the main version of GoD but the HK cut with the extra fights, Joseph Koo score and canto dubbing makes it feel a bit cheesier in the best possible way. I kept the Shout BD just for that cut, but as I haven't even opened that yet (lol) I'll keep it sealed and see what Arrow have got cooking.

A fully completed Game of Death could have been glorious. Such a shame we were denied many more potentially great Bruce Lee movies due to his untimely death

Next year it will be 50 years ago he died
Enter the Dragon will turn 50 and Game of Death 45
Definitely a good year to release Bruce Lee stuff.

I don't think it will include Enter the Dragon. Since it will be the 50th next year and Warner love their anniversary tie ins, I imagine they would want to put that one out themselves.

Oh no...glad I watched these when they were released so I dont feel too bad about selling them. Even if Arrow does another rep prog fiasco on this one Im still down for this one. The Criterion lightweight cardboard is collapsing on itself on my shelf.

I already own the remastered Shout BDs of BIG BOSS, FIST OF FURY, WAY OF THE DRAGON snd GAME OF DEATH and the 40th Anniversary Edition of ENTER THE DRAGON. I will only buy this new UHD set if GAME OF DEATH 2 is included in a remastered HD version (no SD upscale) as well.

I have the CC set and it's still unopened and sealed. I'll see myself out.

But that John Barry score is the bomb, though!

Unless they do something similar to what Sony did with Jason and the Argonauts, allowing Indicator to also release it as part of that one Harryhausen box set.

I don't think most HK martial arts films of that era even offer enough detail to max out the potential of 1080p Bluray. I doubt these will look noticeably better than the Criterion/Shout editions. Even the newest 4K scans on the Shawscope BD sets have kind of a low rez look like they were shot with the crudest and cheapest anamorphic lenses available.

It contains one of the single funniest frames where they've pasted Bruce Lee's face over someone else and I will never not laugh when I see it.

Can't says I disagree, although the 4K transfers on the French UHD set do still offer a modest refinement in the finest details. Add in an HDR grade and the perceptual effect of the added contrast could make them look sharper still, although Way of the Dragon is so badly shot that anything more than a View-Master is overkill for that one.

If Game of Death 2 is in the set, I hope that Arrow include both cuts
