Some other companies do the same. I believe Imprint (ViaVision) in Australia say all preorders are non refundable.

You don’t quote your country but this behaviour by a retailer may be illegal. Here in the U.K. you have the right to change your mind on any U.K. online order and can return in 7 days for a refund if still sealed. That though only applies to U.K. retailers. Many retailers like Amazon or HMV give you longer than the law of up to a month.

Given this is a German retailer not sure what rules apply if you don’t live in Germany or EU as am sure the U.K. law mirrored EU, but obviously we are no longer part so not covered for EU purchases.
