Since launching Blu-ray in China, Sony has seen lackluster sales of the high definition format among the Chinese populous. Not deterred, however, Sony has pledged to maintain support for Blu-ray in China for the foreseeable future, and in response will increase marketing and promotion of Blu-ray titles.

Additionally, the consumer electronics company has promised to bring 100 Blu-ray titles to China this year, in hopes that an increase in available content will spark sales.
