The Invisible Maniac (1990) 4K UHD coming from Vinegar Syndrome

So I popped this in and gave it a watch last night. The 4K is an amazing upgrade over every VHS and cable rip I've seen. I didn't do a direct screen compare but judging by how the 4X3 shots in the features (including the video trailer) look, this movie was hard-matted to 1.85 and has more picture on the sides.

Then I dipped into the features. Being a longtime fan of the film but never bothering to look up any other info it, I went and watched the "deleted scene" first and was just thinking "what the **** is this?" Then the doc explained it and it makes a bit more sense. ****ing hilarious how overseas markets just wanted a longer cut, and didn't care what was longer. Nice to see Julie Strain (R.I.P.) in it though.

Great release, the only things that suck are Savannah is dead and destroyed her boobs after this movie (although she did a couple of porns with her original look: R.I.P.), and I missed out on the lenticular slip. Despite being a slip collector, I refuse to pay over $10-20 for any slip, so I'll be living without this one unless someone wants to send me one for X-Mas. Looking back now, I do recall seeing the offer and wish I had taken the gamble, but I figured it was just a joke and they would just say "thanks for playing" and refund any orders taken at best, or just keep the money at worst. I assure you next year's April Fool's thing will be far less rare as everyone will be hip to what happened with this one and seeing those dollar signs.
