Default Subtitle issues on 3D passive LG

I’ve noticed something very recently when I’m watching 3D movies with the subtitles on that occasionally, some subtitles display almost incorrectly, causing what I can only describe as a “cross eyed” effect, where they are hard to read and only look correct when I close one eye. It seems completely random though, where a scene with subtitles will have most subtitles displaying correctly but every now and then one looks how I describe above. I have also noticed that in some instances, when the same subtitle is on screen but the shot itself changes, the subtitle suddenly “corrects itself” so to speak. It’s really weird. I’ve also noticed that player generated subtitles don’t really seem to displaying in the correct depth plane and rather than sitting in front of everything on screen, they are kind of pushed back into the image, making the 3D look a bit incorrect.

I swear my TV didn’t use to have this issue but I’ve recently moved the TV to a different place and am paranoid that something has happened to mess the subtitle setting up. I really hope that is not the case.

Does anybody have any advice or have encountered anything similar to how I’m describing? For the record this has happened with both burnt in subtitles (The Hobbit movies) and player generated subtitles (for Japanese Movienex MCU movies).
