Saw this in theaters and enjoyed it. Impressive audio. It's interesting that Sony distributed it theatrically but the physical release is being done by Paramount.

Still recovering from the total geek out I had with Top Gun: Maverick. First in the cinema, then at home.

In a holding pattern for these movies till I get one of my HSU subwoofers repaired. I mis-diagnosed the problem with it and thought it was the actual driver defective so ordered a replacement. Turns out it was the amplifier and sending it in for repair. For the estimated repair cost it is not worth it to me to do myself. I don’t blame you, it was a AV feast from the start. When those afterburners kicked in, I was rattling! Everything just seemed so well balanced and precise. From the ambient bar noise in the earlier scenes to the closing enemy planes in the dog fights, one of the best tracks I have ever experienced.

5/5 across the board, including the film itself.

Finally finished Vikings last night - it was great. Just started Vikings Valhalla on Netflix S1 and it's in 4K DV/Atmos.

I also decided to fill in some Taylor Sheridan gaps in my disc collection by snagging Wind River on BD and Sicario 2 on 4K disc. I've seen both films before but never owned them on any format.

I'm still on the fence about buying the Vikings boxset. Does it remain good throughout the whole series ?
I've heard it started out great but the last seasons were mediocre.


Taylor Sheridan is killing it lately. Hope he doesn't get a burnout with everything he's creating left and right.
Wind River is great and I absolutely love both Sicarios.

Pass on Wind River (shaky cam), 1st Sicario is one of my favorite movies (DP was Roger Deakins), passed on the 2nd Sicario may need to view again.

As a whole, it works great, because you get to know and feel for the characters. Even when new arcs are formed, the sheer expansiveness is great, and you segue to the new focal points of the show. IMO

I’m the same as Wendell, loved the first one, thought the sequel was a slight drop in quality, although still good.

Second Sicario was still a good movie, but was a step down for sure from the first. Emily Blunt not being in it hurt, since I wanted to see more of that character. I love Benicio Del toro's character, so have no problems owning both the bluray and 4K for both movies.

Here is hopping Denis Villeneuve's second Dune matches the first. Same for Hans Zimmer and the music track. Just finished the Batman trilogy and The Gladiator, re-watch inspired by the Zimmer music track.

Have several movies with Blunt. First really noticed her in The Young Victoria, really like The Wolfman with her, Benicio Del Toro and Anthony Hopkins in it.
