I’ve always liked it out of nostalgia as it was the first Trek movie I saw at the cinema, but although it’s got some good set pieces it feels like an extended episode of the show and not in a good way, it’s like those action bits have just been bolted on. That feeling extends to Dennis McCarthy’s music too, it’s okay but it’s easily the blandest score in the entire Trek movie oeuvre.
But I do still enjoy it and can’t wait to see them all on UHD. |
