I'm a fan of LOU1 on PS4, and for 9.99, wanted to experience the new locations in LOU2 to explore in this game. I did hear Joel isn't in much of the game, so that's why I waited till it was so cheap on disc. I watch most of the story, but sometimes skip boring parts too. It's okay so far, but I hope there are some new gameplay ideas too.
For me, the game play always must be first as most important, story 2nd, since it's a video game.

Yes, that is a nice feature that I was using to sneak up on some zombie clickers. Although if they see me crawling, then I have to get up fast.

Being spotted is tough in this game, as they scream and draw all the rest of them running in to attack.

Did finish this the other day, I did buy this for $9.99 a couple weeks ago and was the Last copy my Walmart had at that price. I did enjoy this one, And I liked having 60fps on PS5.

I only encountered two bugs while playing that forced me to restart a checkpoint, they were pretty funny to experience. But otherwise I naturally enjoyed playing as Ellie more, but Abby had the better weapons.

they would have had to redesign the levels to accommodate prone and they didn't want to do that, and I'm kind of glad they didn't if it would require that. More puzzling though is wy they didn't bring dodge over, especially since all of the infected act like their Part II counterparts.

Just to follow up on this, season one the TV series just concluded, and it also does not retcon anything, e.g. to include Abby, or anything like that. Again, other than the race of the surgeon.

In the new Grounded Part II documentary for Part II, Druck gives a lot of detail about the leaks and what it was like inside the company to deal with that. He says the "leak" was actually a 20 year old external hacker in the Netherlands who was a fan of the first game. They thought their server was air gapped from the outside world to prevent insider leaks, but it apparently it was not with everyone hurriedly setting up systems to work from home in the pandemic, the hacker found his way in through a back door and downloaded a bunch of game videos from meetings they keep on the server so anyone who couldn't attend can watch later. He initially released an innocuous gameplay video, in the hopes it would compel them to release the game. (Remember Sony delayed the game and Ghost of Tsushima because of distribution issues with the pandemic, it wasn't Naughty Dog's decision.) Anyway, they closed the backdoor which Druck says was their big mistake, and that made the hacker mad so he released everything. Now we know!

was able to get Troy and Ashley's autographs this weekend. wish I had a steelbook copy of the game but this was the only physical copy I had at home and will do for now. I did have a copy of the season one steelbook and I know they were both briefly in season one but I would rather have them sign for their signature roles.
Troy was very cool, took a minute to talk music with me.
this was Ashley's first time at this con and her line was packed all weekend; she also spent a minute to chat with everyone and was very sweet.

I've never played Death Stranding so didn't bring that up. Like I said, I talked music with him, let him know how much I love his versions of Future Days and Wayfaring Stranger. He thanked me and said they recorded more Joel songs, not covers, that he hopes will be released next year.

I sent a pic of the signed game to my son and he said I should've told him and he would've given me his steelbook

Oh well, if they both come around to the next con I will make sure I have the steelbook with me.
