Default Open letter to the case fanatics.

First off this is not intended to start a flame war. This is something I've never understood and I mean to pick some brains and find answers.

I read many, many posts here from people saying how they hate Digibooks and other cases besides the standard ones. Enough that I finally have to ask why? Is it really because they look different on the shelf? Because every season of TV show (minus the few exceptions) comes in something other than a standard blu case and some of you that are so against the digi's have TV shows in your collections. For that matter many of you have steelbooks as well, which are not standard blu cases either yet no one is wishing steelbooks away, in fact many are clamoring for more.

So I guess it's mainly the digi-books that people have such a problem with. Me, I like them, I like that they come with that little book about the movie. I own Falling Down, Matrix, Amadeus and Shawshank in digi and like how they stand out. Granted I have Band of Brothers, the Discovery Atlas set, True Blood, Nature's Most Amazing Events, all the available Bond steelbooks and others that don't gel with the plastic cases either so it's no skin of my sack at all.

I just want to know why so much hatred towards them and not every other release that comes in the non-standard package. Seems inconsistent at best to me, or at worst like people are pissing and whining for no reason whatsoever.

Case fanatics I beg you.. shed some light.
