I can't find the HK trilogy set for MBTS though so I may succumb to Massacre Video's eventual release but that's still a big maybe.

I feel like I've kept up on every update, but have they ever officially came out and explain what happened to the 4K release of the first film? I get that they probably just decided it was going to cost too much. Just strange how it was announced, with artwork and everything, then just went ghost.

I mean they didn't say it wasn't coming. I'm half expecting it to be there.

lol seeing as they said its going to replication in a few weeks do people think its actually coming?
fact that they did not mention 4k probably means no 4k but they should have at least said why they dropped it

It’s coming. I imagine we’ll have it in our hands well before June. I think it’s a 4K restoration, but the film itself will not be UHD. That’s the impression I’ve had since it was first announced.

They posted 2 different slipcovers and one had a UHD logo on the side.

They dropped the standard BD art 03/2020 and the UHD art 08/2020.

Cool. Well, if they aren’t doing a UHD anymore, I think they went with the better cover art of the two for this title.

This is the artwork from the Thailand poster. The Hong Kong posters are less interesting.

I think MV is doing an amazing job. The titles you’ve released so far are among my personal favorites, and what’s coming down the pike is equally impressive. Since it was inevitable that one of us would bring up MBtS, I figured it may as well be me. While I never once got frustrated during the wait for this title, I can see why so many folks did. You guys don’t owe us a damn thing, and are doing us a great service by restoring MBtS, but I think if there had been a little more transparency regarding the delays and maybe even a little insight into your restoration process, it would’ve gone a long way for some. It’s all good, though. Keep up the great work! Can’t wait to see what comes next.

Quick question about the eventual preorder for MBtS. Will there be like a day or so advance notice for the preorder date? I only ask because I’m afraid that the emails will go out while I’m at work and I’ll miss my chance to snag a copy. At least with a heads up, I can let my boss know I need a minute to place the order

Question, will it be a trilogy set as a tweet says it was? And will Laboratory Of The Devil be in full HD since some of the scenes on the HK Blu-Ray had SD inserts?
