The "unrated" cut just has a couple of nothing-special deleted scenes reinserted and was released as a cash grab in the US, I still have it on DVD. So yes, it is a lot of marketing nonsense.
Nevertheless, I do love this film and so it's just a matter of whether I'm prepared to spend so much on fancy packaging and an HD upgrade for the deleted scenes version. It's cheaper than the German Mediabook edition but I still feel like the more times I do this the more expensive these things get...
