A show would be interesting. The main protagonist is basically an empty slate in the game. Barely a character. You could do whatever you wanted with him/her in a series.

Not to mention it would give viewers their Hogwarts fix without trying to shoe-horn it into the Fantastic Beasts movies like they did with the last two. My only guess is that either WB doesn't think it'll be commercially successful or more likely JKR said no. I'm guessing the latter since she didn't actually write the story for the game so it's not actually her own work.
