Most have been cool but when Ryan posted about the ER we literally had people ask if he was ok and when the orders will ship.

I've got a loooong "to-watch" list to get through so I'm in no rush. It is crazy that people would hound ya'll about shipping. It is similar to the Kino Lorber thread where people will complain about shipping; like, dang- let them do their thing and you'll get your shipping notification.

"[I ordered a week ago and haven't received my order yet. Should I issue a chargeback with my credit card?!?!"]..... Get outta here with that mentality!!!

Email from Chloe/Terror Vision:

Quote:
I just wanted to touch base and let you know that we're finally receiving all copies of Get My Gun + Horror Workout today! All club copies will receive tracking and should all be out the door in the next 48 hours.

A very important note on this shipment-- a lot of you have pre-ordered the Horror Workout record, pin, or cassette from the wholesale site which we don't have in hand yet and we will add those to a future package. We will be shipping the tee and the Blu-rays (for those who ordered additional copies from the wholesale site) with this package and the other items with a future package.

If you placed an order with a mix of some items we have and some items we don't, the order will say "completed" or "shipped" on your account-- that's just part of my system and there's no option to mark it "partially complete" or anything so just don't fret if you see your order appears to be fulfilled but you don't get it/don't get everything from it this package.

I would’ve thought the same, until I joined this forum. The level of impatience of some people is mind-blowing and even sad. They’re just effing blu rays for Christ’s sake.

Yeah, I get bummed when stuff is delayed, but I couldn't imagine emailing a label angrily. Hell, I thought these weren't shipping until the middle of the month anyways. I didn't know there were health issues (which I hope are all ok!) but at the same time, it's barely over a week into the month, folks need to relax.

Every once in a while, If it's been quite a time past a release, I might shoot an inquiring email, but never with snark/malice as who knows what the circumstance is.

The problem is people still have not gotten used to the idea of a small independent shop run by 1 or 2 people. Amazon Two-Day Shipping has ruined it for folks. In some cases, these shops are run by people who have 9 to 5 jobs or other obligations and only run their store in their spare time (Synapse?). People need to keep that in mind when ordering.

Evan Amazon can't be on time anyone lol. I can't remember the last time I got a pre-ordered movie on release day post COVID. But you're definitely right there, people have gotten spoiled and want everything instantly.

Exactly. And I have noticed that it is the smaller, ultra-niche labels (Error 4444, Massacre, Unearthed, Grindhouse) that catch the bulk of complaints from entitled movie aficionados. These are the labels that should be cut the most slack. No one deserves to be harassed over something as insignificant as a missed release window or shipping delays, but the smaller guys especially. Speaking of Synapse, I saw someone not long ago whining that they’ll be disappointed if Trick or Treat isn’t out by Halloween. Seriously? Like, you can’t just be grateful that we’re finally getting it on blu, whenever that may be? Wtf???

Brad,

Are you on a quest to watch every movie ever made? You're letterbox is showing quite a journey that is starting.

Haha, I only started using LB in 2016 and kind of gave up rating stuff I've seen in the past. I'm not sure what journey you speak of but I watch pretty much anything that I'm semi interested in which turns out to be a lot.

I was going to word something regarding TV's Facebook post from earlier this week (regarding Ryan and Chloe), but even though I usually know how to word something, I couldn't think of something that would fit as a reply on this occasion (even though I was wishing positive thoughts). I find these days that a lot of people live their lives like they're on a racetrack, whereas I take my time with things, and that includes having some patience (I can be a very patient person, and can understand when there are for example delays with titles etc.). Stuff like the whereabouts of an order, compared to the other stuff in life, is trivial (discussion of the titles, along with the rapport you build up with friends can create positives. During a time like this, being considerate is being thoughtful).

Anyway, I hope everything with Ryan and Chloe works out in the end and things are sorted out etc.

Is there anywhere to check what region the latest releases are, short of asking in this thread?

From memory:
Copperhead - region free
End of the line - region A

What about get my gun or horror workout?

Horror Workout is Region Free.
Get My Gun is Region A.

I will always recommend a region free player and a lot of our titles will just be Region A.

I checked out Norway last night and thought it was great. The story didn't really do it for me but I enjoyed the weirdness of it all, and it had a lot of cool visuals and stylistic cinematography. Overall, I was never bored and found it pretty entertaining.

Glad you watched it. I saw it back in 2014 at Fantastic Fest and was enamored by it and ended up seeing it twice. Visually it’s intoxicating but its story is definitely wonky but gives it a lot of charm.
