Nintendo Switch™ software "Taito LD Game Collection" will be released! Amazon "Prime Day" Exclusive Products Released

Nintendo Switch™ "Taito LD Game Collection" is here!

The "Standard Edition," which includes three LD game titles, and the "Special Edition," which includes a collection of materials and video discs in addition to the games, will be released on Thursday, December 3, 2023.

In addition, Amazon.co.jp will be accepting pre-orders for limited edition products that come with the game "Space Battleship Yamato Arcade Game Edition" exclusively for the sale "Prime Day" that will be held from 2023:7 on Tuesday, July 11, 0 to 00:7 on Wednesday, July 12, 23.

HD restorations of three Taito LaserDisc classics are coming to Nintendo Switch December 14, 2023 in Japan. No word on an international release at this time, hopefully Inin Games picks this up. There is an Amazon Prime Day tie in for a bonus game (Space Battleship Yamato Arcade Edition), with a note that it may be available at a later date for a fee. Hopefully Taito's Prime Day stuff doesn't have three-digit shipping fees like the last few years.

The collection includes HD Remasters of Time Gal, Space Battleship Yamato, and Ninja Hayate. Time Gal and Ninja Hayate were released on Sega CD in 1993, no other international versions that I am aware of for any of these titles.

Standard Edition costs 9,680円 (~$68) and includes 3 titles:

• Time Gal HD Remastered

Special Edition costs 19,580円 (~$138) and adds:

• Taito LD Game Collection Special Blu-ray Disc
