Default Something Is Out There (1988) mini series

This year one of my favourite TV mini series turned 35 years old.

Something Is Out There.

In my opinion it's an underrated classic which has never been released on any official physical disc.
It's a TV pilot that runs 160+ minutes and it was divided in 2 parts back in May of 1988.
I own the VHS, but it's a very bad conversion from NTSC to PAL.
It's not as good as V, but still worth to check out.

It's about a cop (back in the 80's it was always about a cop) who meets a mysterious humanoid alien. She left the mothership and landed on Earth to find an escaped Xenomorph.

The pilot had some great talents working in front of the camera and behind the camera.

Rick Baker did the creature effects and John Dykstra the special visual effects.
Synth soundtrack by Sylvester Levay

Joe Cortese plays the main character
Maryam d'Abo is the sexy alien
George Dzundza plays his partner
Gregory Sierra is the chief of police
Robert Webber (in his last role) is the commissioner and also is soon to be father-in-law
Kim Delaney is his fiancee
