Maybe he wasn't considered Hollywood royalty, but he was literal royalty as the King of Cartoons on PEE WEE'S PLAYHOUSE.

People that don't want to scroll through unspoilered images don't get accused of being snobs, it's the same thing. If you don't like seeing the same people complain about shipping and other nonsense all the time, ignore helps to an extent. Not fully because people quote them, but still. It would be better if you could filter to people who actually talk about the films and their opinions about them, but then again you run into ridiculous things like the Eiger Sanction partbof this thread, so whatever I guess

Chatter on threads for physical media that hasn't released yet will no doubt lean towards shipping, cover art and other stuff. Personally, I find people who complain about prices more annoying but I still wouldn't block them. It's all par for the course

GONE WITH THE EIGER!

----------------------

The only time I've put anyone on 'Ignore' is on Twitter. I never truly knew 'Stupid' until I was on Twitter talking about pro golf. The morons I've run across on 'Golf Twitter' caused me to rethink the notion of never ▬blocking▬ anyone.

USA KL's December slate

Thanks MifuneFan for posting that list of KL titles for December a couple of pages back. The titles I'm interested in getting are The Questor Tapes and the re-release of Running Scared (a few weeks ago, I nearly went and got the existing KL Blu-ray release of Running Scared).

@OceanBlue: I know you're from the UK so I wanted to mention I actually have a UK post-cert Big Box video of THE QUESTOR TAPES on CIC that I bought yonks ago -- well before the 'made-on-demand' DVD release was offered. I still have the PAL but I'm thinking about picking up a disc of "Questor". We shall see.
---------------------------------
I received, via UPS, my KINO-LORBER parcel box about 6:30 PM this evening containing the DVDs of PUZZLE OF A DOWNFALL CHILD (1970-Drama) •and• CHECKERED FLAG OR CRASH (1977-Action).

That was ♠speedy♠. I ordered the two discs on Sunday night, the 10th and the order processed through Monday the 11th and now today -- the 13th -- the discs are in my hot little hands.

At present I have 10 Kino-Lorber discs:

Fast Charlie . . . The Moonbeam Rider (1979)
Journey to Shiloh (1968)
Midnight Man, The (1974)
P.J. (1968)
Puzzle of a Downfall Child (1970)
Tiger By The Tail (1970)
What's So Bad About Feeling Good? (1968)

Almost Summer (1978)
Checkered Flag or Crash (1977)
Slow Dancing in the Big City (1978)

I have intentions to pick up more K-L releases in the coming months.

I forgot about I... for Icarus. That one definitely seemed like a cool movie that I intended to pick up. I was in for The Questor Tapes also, and this Mille Milliards de Dollars looks great. December 5th will be a good day during the November/December sale for me. I love the 1970's paranoia and conspiracy type films, along with the sci-fi.

Sounds like a leak from Gable’s publicist

THE CARPETBAGGERS (1964)
• Brand New HD Master – From a 4K Scan of the 35mm Original Camera Negative
• NEW Audio Commentary by Film Historian and Writer Julie Kirgo
• NEW Audio Commentary by Film Historian David Del Valle and Filmmaker David DeCoteau
• Theatrical Trailer
• 5.1 Surround and Lossless 2.0 Audio
• Reversible Art
• Limited Edition O-Card Slipcase
• Optional English Subtitles

Color 150 Minutes 2.35:1 Rated PG
Harold Robbins’ (Nevada Smith, Stiletto) bestseller about ’30s Hollywood comes to the screen in a torrent of frank, controversial and (for the times) sensational scenes that helped break the Production Code. George Peppard (Breakfast at Tiffany’s, P.J.) is the ruthless tycoon who (with amazing parallels to Howard Hughes) builds a multimillion-dollar empire. Carroll Baker (Baby Doll, The Big Country), who performs a razzle-dazzle striptease atop a glittering chandelier, is the Jean Harlow-type star. In addition to its depiction of the wild life in Tinseltown’s early days, the film also boasts Alan Ladd’s (Lucky Jordan, Shane) terrific final screen performance as the hero’s sidekick, Nevada Smith (later portrayed in the film’s prequel by a gunslinging Steve McQueen). Featuring Bob Cummings, Martha Hyer, Elizabeth Ashley, Lew Ayres, Martin Balsam, Ralph Taeger, Archie Moore and the daring direction of Edward Dmytryk (The Caine Mutiny, Mirage).
