Would having everything set at 720p make an impact? Could it be that upscaling DVDs to 720p and then playing Blu-Rays at 720p also causes this lack of noticeability? I'm stuck in the circular point of: Having a 1080p TV would show the difference, but Can't get a 1080p TV because she can't tell the difference, but If we had a 1080p TV, I could show her the difference, but She doesn't think there is a difference, so no 1080p TV. Plus, the 27" is "big enough" I'm saving up enough to both buy a 1080p TV (a 40" or something so that it isn't "too big" for her tastes) and to afford another place to sleep should the revealing of the new TV not go well...... |
