I just went and upgraded from a LG OLED55B7A TV and a Yamaha RX-A1070 receiver to a LG OLED77C3PUA TV and an Onkyo TX-NR7100 receiver.
I bought the LG 77" first and it was hooked up to the Yamaha receiver with zero issues. But when I swapped out the Yamaha for the Onkyo last night, it has been intermittently displaying only digital snow on the TV. Occasionally I can get it to display the normal blue screen where I can then pop up the receiver menu but it's very hit or miss. I tried swapping the 10' Monoprice Ultra High Speed 2.1 48Gbps HDMI Cable for the 6' version and even the Ultra High Speed 2.1 HDMI cable that comes with the Series X and it still does the same thing. *Note eArc is currently on and I wanna use it. So does anyone know why it would be displaying digital snow? As a long time home theater nerd, that makes no sense to me. And if you know, do you also know how to fix it? Thanks! |
