MIA as i mentioned is on a 1-17 cold weather run. KC off 13 days rest for their key starters meanwhile MIA is coming off a knock down drag out game & now has to travel on only 6 days rest. QBs making their 1st playoff start like Tua have dome terrible against veteran QBs. Theres a site that does injury factor & KC is extremely healthy while MIA is one of the most injured teams. Again as yoda would say "Beyond shocked i would be." Last edited by dcowboy7; 01-10-2024 at 07:41 PM. |

You would have a better read on it than I do but it doesn't seem like he ever lost the locker rooms and the players still love him. A lot of your vets just eventually show their age and move on and the development of some of the young guys is just hit and miss and I don't think the really falls on him. Interested to hear from him, ownership and maybe beat writers to see if everyone is on the same message. Quote:
Travis is 34, about the age where a TE slows down, don't think Swift has a ton to do with it. Quote:

I don't think I would be shocked by any matchups this weekend. Sometimes teams get hot at the right time and the momentum carries them, I could see this for PIT and GB. Alternately, I wouldn't be surprised if TB beat PHI as the Eagles have been slumping since the loss to the Niners, even prior to that they weren't dominating teams despite how impressive their record looked.
NYG and DC Wink Martindale have agreed to mutally part ways. This is days after Daboll fired Wink's top two assistants. CHI has fired OC Luke Getsy, Eberflus to return as HC next season CLE expects WR Amari Cooper to play this weekend |

The Bills are on a hot streak too, going into this playoff game on a five game winning streak (beating KC, DAL, and MIA in the process). They were 6-6 before this streak and their season was looking bleak. If there is a potential shocking upset game of the WC round, this is it imo. I think BUF wins though.

Speaking of that offensive offense, they need to clean house. Start with showing the QBs the door.

With that said anyone who ignores the obvious drop off from his coaching approach, more so GM Bill then you haven't been paying attention. His drafting is really front and center of why it has fallen so far off in New England. His misses in the first couple rounds on offensive lineman after Scar retired are really the driving factor as to why it went south so quick. I just dont see Bill letting a GM make the calls and imo looking over the last 5 years you would have to be an absolute idiot to dismiss that the guy stinks at drafting anything other then defense. So it will be interesting to see where he goes and how that dynamic will work. Moving ahead please Bob go after Vrabel! |

yeah Vrabel would be the logical choice in NE but like others have said, that offense needs to be burned down and rebuilt.
Bill lost his touch as far as roster building a loooong time ago, looking back I am not sure if he ever had it as having Brady hid a lot of deficiencies on the offensive end. As others have pointed out, defensive side of the ball is fairly consistent. That said, I don't think he's lost it as far as coaching, he said his passion for that side of things is still there and he was willing to cede control of GM duties in NE if it meant helping the team, which seems pretty big for him. Reports say him and Kraft just kept talking throughout the week and just decided it was time for change. Get him the right team with the right QB and he will break Shula's mark within the next two or three seasons. I do think teams will be wary of giving him GM duties though unless they are just desperate to do something, anything. Of the teams with vacancies, LAC make sense with Herbert and the rest of the talent they have but Chargers ownership are cheap. |

Vrabel would be welcomed with open arms in New England, but both the Titans and Pats I think are about to learn the hard way they need more than a coaching change and they were singled out because of their record that wasn’t all their fault, if at all. |
