- Any hesitation due to retention/burn-in fears I believe are unnecessary. For the first 200hrs I did run a break-in DVD (you can find on-line) for part-time and the other time I simply watched full screen content. Since then I have watched anything and everything for long periods of time with absolutely no problem. Of course, I am not an idiot and leave the TV on for 24 hours on pause.

- I avoid watching Standard TV and try to watch exclusively HD and Blu-rays. Maybe it's because of this that anytime I "stumble" on a standard broadcast, I am shocked by the awful picture quality. Not sure if it is the TV or simply my viewing habits. DVD watching is fine however.

- The attachable speakers are nice looking and sound fine, but a TV like this really needs to be attached to a good audio system. I have my speakers attached because I like the way they look. Also, I have the option of watching OTA programs only with the TV speakers.

- The display itself is a bit sensitive to stains, but I try to never touch it and the smudges I have seen, I was able to clean with no problem (including my son's hand print at one point).

- Although many recommend professional calibration on this set, I have not done it and do not see any obvious reason to do it - the PQ is awesome out of the box. I may change my mind someday but not today.

I'll leave it at that for now. Please let me know if you have any further questions. Get home soon!
excellent points have a 151 for a almost a yr now myself and the ir burn in plasmas arent bright enough b/s talk is just that b/s this tv does jus what another member staed ull look at all other tvs differently
definetly a hd 7.1 sound field matched to this is seeing and hearing like never before exactly what project was and is meant to do
as far as pio leavingnever there jus on hiatus imo and i base that on 2 stated company facts
1-pioneer is still workin with panny for plasma tech
2-pio is still workin with sharp on blu ray players and lcd tech
why do either of these if they had no plans to come back and rein as king again in a few yrs once the economy gets betta and they recoup losses???
jus my opinion
