I've actually never watched all of Aliens. I've seen pieces of it in passing and am aware of many of it's iconic lines, etc, of course. I've preordered the 4K and am looking forward to watching it in its entirety. Hopefully it won't have too many issues.

LoL it's called Mozilla Firefox, AdBlock Plus.
Then, right-click on pic and select "Block Element".

I hope you enjoy it, but it might be more fun to have the more "Grindhousey" feel with the blu-ray. I think a lot of the atmosphere is wiped away (not just detail, muahaha) for this new transfer.
Either way, it's a good movie. I've seen it a few - hundred+ - times.

Sounds like terrible casting… maybe would take Lou Diamond phillips based off his performance in SGU. And maaybe Perry just to give him a chance to break out of his “Friends” type casting

Will this UHD finally help me figure out why Ripley gives Burke and Gorman those weird, almost-empty cups of coffee? And why by the STEM, Gorman you a**hole?

Maybe he mistook you for Jason Patric.

Did anyone with Kaleidoscape already report on the quality for any of these 3 Cameron transfers? It is out on Kaleido, right?

I came second in a Jason Patric lookalike contest once.

The black guy won it.

Man, I pre-ordered it twice since day one. On Amazon and Walmart, ready for everything it might happen. Haven't seen the digital and really don't care because at the end, I will be getting digital, BD and 4K UHD. Digital is one different platform aside physical and there are a lot of going between the two, hence different results.

Underneath my cheeky tone is the issue if you don’t participate you really shouldn’t complain about the forum.

Kind of a puzzling observation, Bobby, but I ain't hear to argue, so I'd like to hear more of your thoughts. Maybe the non-linear aspects of the editing didn't work for you. I don't think Oppenheimer is perfect, something felt off with close-ups in the third-act with Robert Downey, Jr. expressing almost an interior monologue, for instance, it just felt suddenly off for me, even though I love the movie. It happens. You can't fix everything in post, if you don't get it on stage in the first place, right?
I didn’t have an issue with the nonlinear aspect. It was more the music that was present for 99% of the film, sometimes drowning out the dialogue, and some of it didn’t seem to match. Like there’d be a quiet scene with no tension, but the music was tension-heavy. And a lot of the dialogue seemed like it wasn’t organic since there was little to no pauses between. It didn’t seem realistic to me. So that’s why I view it as kind of a long montage or music video or string of clips. It was mostly the music that did it for me. Remove some of it and lower it during some of the dialogue scenes and I would’ve enjoyed it more.

But I understand that this is all deliberate and that Nolan views music almost like a character, so I guess that particular style isn’t for me. I like Memento, Insomnia, the Dark Knight trilogy, The Prestige, Inception, and Interstellar, and I don’t remember having the same issue with those films.

Highy doubtful...more like Booger from Revenge of the Nerds with a Sony ImageWorks badge dangling from a cheap neck chain.
