Rumor: Blu-ray Support Coming to iTunes 9 and iMacs

Blu-ray Disc Apple has long dragged its feet when it comes to Blu-ray, but that might be about to change. According to news site Boy Genius Report, BD support is one of the features being added to iTunes 9. Additionally, a recent post on Apple Insider reports about Apple integrating Blu-ray into their new iMac line-up.

An announcement might happen as early as September.

Ok so what exactly does this mean, that iTunes 9 will include BD support, does this mean the HD content on iTunes will now be 1080p instead of just 720p?
