The first time I went there yesterday, it told me that the domain name was available to purchase. Maybe someone forgot to renew the license.

I sent an e-mail to Erik Kronor, the technical contact for their Domain Name.

After looking into their dom ain name, it appears they own it through 2015, so I don't think it is a registration issue, maybe a Go Daddy issue since they are the company SVS went through to get their domain name, so I am assuming they are using Go Daddy web hosting services.

Well, that would make sense of it. Thanks for the info lou. I'll let you know if they say anything different.

They have changed to another provider and have been having problems with their domain. They were hit by some websites in China and decided to move to a more secure server/provider, or whatever it is. Erik returned my call last night and I was able to ask him some questions. I think I will order my sub over the phone with them rather than deal with the website. I will order it later today!

I just got the following e-mail from them:

Hi John,

Sorry for the inconvenience, they've been working on the server and hope to have it up very soon. Feel free to ask any questions you've got or give the Sales line a call @ (877) 626-5623.

So it seems to support what you say Geo................

They are internet direct, so you can only get them from one place - unless you buy a used one from audiogon or craigs list etc.

Yep, from them only. If you have a question about what sub would be good for your room Don, here is an e-mail address you can use. Their site is down currently and you can't get in there to e-mail them....they are very fast in getting back to you and extremely friendly and helpful.

The Buttkicker LFE Kit just arrived at work and WOW, I didn't expect it to be this big and heavy. I guess I thought it was going to be like 10lbs and and made of plastic. This sucker almost weighs as much as my SVS sub!

Can't wait to get my butt kicked! I got it overnight delivery from Amazon. $3.99 for a 45lb package! I love Prime!!!

You guys see the current Sound & Vision subwoofer shootout? I don't have it in front of me but they put up the SVS (PB12? Not sure) against the big guns of JL, Bag End and others and REALLY liked it. They put it as a bargain since it can do just as well as subs costing 2x as much.

I was going to look up the sub since I know what it looks like but SVS' website is down!

Just so you are aware, but the amp will not "kick on" until a strong enough LFE signal is sent, so don't be scared when you turn it on and the amp's light remains red. This freaked me out at first, but I figured it out. Also, that kit has EVERYTHING you need. If you want my settings for the amp, let me know, and I'll get back to you when I get home. I can't remember what they are right now. Also, adjust the volume of the amp accordingly, as you don't want it too loud (like at 9 or 10) because when that thing clips, your heart will jump.....the Incredible Hulk did this to mine and I was like WTF was that and then realized I had the volume too high. That transducer and leg plate are very heavy. Plus, you will be impressed with the amp as well. It is all extremely well built, and if you need any help from those guys, they are some of the most helpful minded and friendly people you could talk to.

Yeah, it's twice that...$400 for everything you need in the kit.

This thing kicks butt!!!!!!

I probably would have got this instead of a second sub if I knew it was going to be this awesome!!!!!!

I tried out the Incredible Hulk campus scene and War of the Worlds emergence scene.

This thing can literally move my chair if I turn it up half-way. I have the High cutoff set to 50hz and the volume one notch under half. It feels like I now have 4 massive subs in the room. LOL

The Incredible Hulk scene does clip when the sonic canons fire and the scene goes into slow motion. I had to turn it down to two notches under half to get it not to clip. It's just for a couple of seconds though then everything else is fine in the scene.

I tried War of the Worlds with the Buttkicker and was completely blown away! I tried it with the Buttkicker amp turned off and using only the Dual SVS Subs and it was a big drop off in chair vibration. Turning it back on brought a nice smile to my face.

I was listening to these scenes at 65 dB and it felt like it was 120 db!
The freaking amp weighs a ton! Very high quality.

Wow, I gotta do some more scene testing but I'm really impressed so far! I'll have to take some pics later on for you guys.

Can you tell I like it.

Now that is what I'm talking about! I luv mine brokenthumb. It's a whole new experience with those low end LFE's!!! My settings are high cutoff on, low cutoff off. I have the High Frequency Cutoff at 40Hz and I adjust the volume accordingly, depending on the blu I'm playing. This will serve you well and you'll get the most enjoyment this way. My daughter loves it, all she says is "Daddy, make the couch shake!!"
