I'm torn. I suppose the fact that this has been released in 4K is good for physical media. But there are so many things I would want to see on 4k before this.

I'm waiting for more in-depth reviews, to see how much of an improvement there is compared to the Blus. Also curious to see how they handled the (somewhat significant) number of shots and scenes that were absolutely horrible on the Blu-ray.

I suppose lossless audio might be reason alone to get this?

Unless this turns out to be a DNR mess or has huge encoding problems, I won't be able to resist...

This sub and AVS are the two places where you can't mention Grain in a positive way or you will get hammered.

It's a shame they didn't put that HBO Max reunion special in there. It wasn't very good, but considering that it was the last time Matthew Perry was with all five of his Friends friends, it's significant.

Anyone else disappointed how packaging has gone down in quality with each new format?

Remember "The One With All 10 Seasons" DVD collector's package? That thing was sweet. Special box housing with the glass front swinging door.

Then the blu-ray collector's set came, and it was very nice... but not on the same level as the DVD edition.

And now 4K, and well... this looks like a typical TV set in a cardboard sleeve. I mean sure, it fits on the shelf and blends in with everything else easier. But is that really what a 30th anniversary collector's set is about?

Looks like the ratings logos are removable stickers on the set, as well.

The wide release of the Blu-Ray set internationally (and domestically once the display style box was OOP) was two 10-disc cases with a separate case for the bonus disc, so this is already an improvement over that.

They're also offering a version that has fancier packaging with the bells & whistles for those who want it.

They could've done Breaking Bad, Seinfeld, The Sopranos on 4K, out of all shows they choose quite literally the worst show in existence that is so bland and unfunny, Friends

Breaking Bad is Sony so no WB couldn’t release it. Friends is one of their biggest series so why not take it and give it a 4K release? I love The Sopranos and want it on 4K but Friends is bigger I believe it’s played every day for hours on tv.

Sopranos in 4K would be awesome. Here's hoping they eventually get to it. I like Friends, but I have no interest in getting the 4K discs. Catching an occasional episode on regular TV is enough for me.

Because WB still makes more money off Friends than they do any of their other TV shows.

A. Breaking Bad and Seinfeld are Sony, not WB.
B. I believe they're working on The Sopranos as we speak.
C. Full House exists.

It's so terrible that you felt the need to comment on the thread specifically for it?
