From what was said in the announcement, I assumed that Xander Cage had actually faked his death somehow. Something about an eight-year absence?

Then again, I don't know. They showed this scene on the second disc of the "xXx" Unrated DVD; if I remember right,

, so I don't know how he would have escaped that.

Ah, maybe they'll pretend that "xXx 2" never happened.
