Disappointing that the two volumes aren't bundled.

Just a couple years late on the 20th Anniversary but I'll take it.

Speak for yourself, dragging their heels is accurate and no "whole" cut no sale imo. From what I remember its QT that's the issue, he likes "multiple cuts" to exist (just not to be widely available apparently)

I can just imagine the US folks reading through this thread wondering “what in tarnation is a Brexit?”

* funnily enough, my spellcheck/autocomplete tried changing the word “tarnation” to Tarantino

With you on Vol 2 being the better part, but I don't know that we're in that small a minority. Quite a few people I know prefer Vol 2 - it's less flashy than 1 but just as exciting.

Yea I prefer the ending of Vol 1 but prefer pretty much everything in Vol 2. The pace, the western vibe and the Brides training is my fav part of the whole saga

Well, since it's probably not coming with the japanese extended uncut version in 4K, I pass. Once you've seen that version, there is simply no going back to theatrical imo. Gonna stick with my japanese DVD forever, I guess.

Very excited that the KB films and Jackie Brown are finally making their way to 4K. Crossing my fingers that they do these releases justice.

You know we get international news (and the internet) over here, right? I don't know any adult that would ask what Brexit is. It was a pretty big deal.

I enjoy both KB films but prefer the slightly faster pace of Vol. 1. Well, to me the first film felt like it went by quicker. The second film was more of a slow burn and was tonally different - nothing wrong with that but it makes me feel like a combined film wouldn't really work.

That's the beauty of it. The muscular action of the first one gives way to a more introspective instalment, they're a perfick accompaniment to the other. I watched both back to back a while ago - switching from one to the other at the point TWBA is said to switch - and it worked so well.

But I doubt we're getting the Japanese cut and I think TWBA will forever remain part of QT's private collection. Not complaining mind you, I'm verr happy with the films as they are and will buy these on day frickin' one.

Yea, just kidding. The whole world almost certainly heard about how terrible it all was (and is), and is probably still chuckling at the huge self-ownery of the whole disaster.

Anyway, Kill Bill. Much more excited about the Jackie Brown 4K (probably my second favourite QT after Pulp Fiction), as I didn’t ever upgrade the DVD, but KB is a tasty prospect too.

I have no interest in seeing the theatrical cut again and if I’ve managed this long to not buy it, I’m sure I can hold on. That said, I’m gonna wait for them to announce the specs before I walk out in a huff.
