I always put off buying GOW 1 & 2, and because of this, I never got into the hype for part 3. This collection is pretty enticing.

Before I say anything I think this is GREAT news. Its going to be great to play the first 2 in HD, but heres my question...

The survey asked what we would like to see and here is the result BUT are they still planning on giving us goodies with God of War III in 2010???

I think you can pretty much bank on it. Maybe a two-disc Blu-ray, similar to what GoW II has now. Also, an in-game commentary feature might be nice, a la Half-Life 2, Episodes 1 and 2.

As an aside, the fans loudly responded to a question from Capcom for an updated MvC2, and Capcom delivered. Sony has followed suit with this GoW release. Hopefully this could become a welcome trend for more classic games--particularly since backward compatabilty seems more and more unlikely to return.

This is great!! Is there a street date for it? I just called my local Gamestop to see if I could pre order and they haven't even heard of this and don't have an SKU#.

Reading through this thread I can't believe how many people haven't played the first two GOW games. Shame on you all!

They should have Chains of Olympus as part of the compilation as well.

That would be cool...something like the Resistance 2 edition would be nice.

I agree. I played the first one a long time ago. Then I bought the 2nd one with the hopes that it would play on my 80gig PS3. It did. I'm not sure how soon I'll be picking this up, but I'm sure I will at some point.
