Does Braveheart (Sapphire Series) come in a slipcase too? I don't see it in the first page list.

King Kong slipcover is another hard one to fine. Braveheart and Gladiator Sapphire releases both have an embossed slipcover.

Could be a regional thing. Copies of King Kong with the slipcover disappeared quickly when they were on sale for $16.99 around here (this was a few months back), but a few have resurfaced. A few of the local B&M retailers still have copies with the slipcover, but all of them have shelf wear.

I hate slips because they make the price of BDs go way up. I mean think about it when a blu goes on sale all of a sudden no more slipcover(king kong transformers) Im not hating on anyone who likes them. I just find them quite pointless.

Season 3 was the first season of Lost to come onto blu-ray. So they presented it in a nice box. It doesn't flow well with the other 3 seasons since they have slipcovers. The Box is very hard to find now. So...most of the time you'll just see Season 3 with no box but the other seasons with a slipcover.

Ya...Universal only did a 1st print and then killed it. I haven't seen any since the first week Kong came out.

Great! Glad to know it's even embossed.

Now I have to find me a slipcased copy of Braveheart.

I didn't know at first that KK had a slipcover as I bought mine from a blu-ray importer (I live outside U.S.). The copy that I got didn't have a slipcase. I just got lucky that a fellow blu-ray collector sold his to an ebay buyer and agreed to give me the slipcase for free, stating "it is only cardboard anyway."

No they don't, AFAIK. They are priced just the same with or without the slipcase. So can you imagine buying a blu-ray without a slipcase for the same price as the slipcased ones? I hate it when that happens. I feel like I got an incomplete item. The ones that go on sale are probably old stock or the latter releases/re-releases, hence no slipcase.

they dont go up at all....they only make a certain number of slip covers for the first batch of release.

I get Blu-ray releases with slipcovers from Amazon all the time. I would remember, the slipcovers always come banged up.

Amazon always ships with slipcovers, until they run out. That's why I thought we could organize a thread for people to report if they received them or not. Usually mine are in mint codition although some come in damaged. It eventually happens when dealing with mail order!
