Looks like Universal in America is releasing Knight Rider in 4K UHD with HDR Colour Grading:

Have had a look at part of this thread to double-check something. A friend has asked me if Turbine's Knight Rider Blu-ray boxset is region locked with no PAL speed-up (they're interested in getting Turbine's release).

It's region free and there is no PAL speedup, because it's not even PAL.
PAL only existed in SD formats.

Even the bonus features all in complete HD with 24FPS? There are plenty german releases with bonus features not playable in the US, because them being PAL SD.

While PAL does not apply to HD, there exist, indeed original BluRays in GErmany, that are mastered in Interlaced 25FPS, so, having the PAL speeding, that might not be playable on US Systems, even with the correct Region Coding.

Again. The KR Special Edition from Turbine is completely not in PAL and region free. Also the bonus features.
In the 40th Anniversary Edition, only Team Knight Rider was in PAL, but that's SD and not HD. The 40th Anniversary Edition has sold out almost 2 years ago.

Thanks for replying to my query. I was asking on behalf of a friend who is interested in getting Turbine's standard edition Blu-ray release of Knight Rider.
