I just finished Gueros and well, it is damn near a masterpiece. Think: a grittier version of clerks.
It's sort of clerks mixed with Darren Aronofsky and that is just the visual aspect, which is tremendous, a feast for the eyes, but the dialogue and what the movie covers, in terms of subject matter, is both funny and poignant and I'll admit that I only probably caught 30 percent of what it was saying. I need to re-watch it a couple of more times, but this movie, for those looking for a good foreign film, I don't think you will regret this one. It is a winner. |
