My pre-order came in from the Amazon! I have been so looking forward to this! I adore this film. It was my first real exposure to Mamoru Hosoda and it still has the power to break me. Just a gorgeous film. And some gorgeous Steelbook packaging from Shout!/GKids and Amazon. And it's in 4K!!! I know Wolf Children is coming in August (just in time for my birthday!) and I hope The Boy and the Beast and The Girl Who Leapt Through Time aren't far behind. Especially The Boy and the Beast which remains my favorite Hosoda film though I do love them all. They also need to upgrade Shinkai's Your Name!

For the first time, I decided to take a chance on a big lot of a bunch of movies/shows last night. Per a Craigslist ad in my area, I picked up about 300 DVDs and 30 Blu-rays for less than 30 cents a disc. I don't plan on keeping a lot of these as most I'll trade in for other things, but there were a number of nice finds here. Several TV show DVD box sets and a number of movies that aren't on Blu-ray at all like Cheaper by the Dozen. Some like Casablanca I don't have on any format so DVD is fine for now until I decide to upgrade. Will be going through them all today and trade in the rest soon. The kids had fun looking through them as well. I think they're understanding better now why it's good to have physical copies of movies and not just streaming. Fun stuff!

Broken Arrow is hard to find or really expensive to get in the UK on Blu, they need to rerelease that one! That's my favourite American Woo movie, but in the mean time Hard Target will have to do.

Those 88 Films slips are pretty sweet! Apparently not everyone is getting a slip for A Complete Unknown, so I got a bit lucky there.

It's the German version, i forget why i ordered that version, i think it's because it was cheaper than the UK release, and still has the commentary track.
