Default I need help discussing differences between Blu-ray and hddvd

This is a quote from a dude on a Mustang forum I am part of. Can someone point me in a direction to discuss this well with him.

Any help would be good. Tech specs would be great....

yeah the 720p version

BluRay Discs are single layered, the HD-DVD discs that are 1080p are dual layered. There are 2 versions of HD DVD

now, do you have a 1080p (not just 1080i) monitor? Without it, you have never seen what BluRay or 1080p HD DVD can actually do
