Default Video 125 halts new Blu-ray releases

Video125 are a label based in Sunninghill in the UK. They sell DVD's & Blu-rays on public transport films like Buses & Railways to transport enthusiasts.

https://www.video125.com/

I got this notice in an email while they were promoting their new release of King's Cross to King's Lynn this evening.

It reads:

Quote:
No Blu-ray? Unfortunately we no longer release new titles on Blu-ray due to falling demand and high production costs.
They will just produce new titles on DVDs & HD Downloads from now on. I'm so disappointed to learn about this news.

I do own about 2 Blu-rays & a large number of DVDs from them in my collection. They consist of Driver's Eye views of various railway routes in Ireland, the UK & France.

I recently watched the Drivers Eye View of The Western Corridor in Ireland railway network on Blu-ray a few months ago. The railway line covered in the title starts at Waterford onto Limerick & then from Limerick to Galway. It's narrated by the late broadcaster Henry Kelly. The picture quality & his commentary on it was excellent.

What is the current situation with Video 125 at the moment. Are they able to continue an online presence for the remainder of the year going into next year?

Will they continue to produce Blu-rays for their older titles in their catalogue?

I'm not sure how badly hit their finances are doing now when they made the decision to stop producing new titles on Blu-ray from now on & in the near future. I hope it won't hit their older titles as well.
