Smallville in High Definition, Bad Quality?

I got my Smallville Blu-ray two days ago and ive watched it all the way through. Now I have noticed that Warner Bros. Blu-ray movies tend to look worse than any of my Lionsgate, Beuna Vista, Sony, Paramount, and Fox Blu-rays. However, Smallville was particularly bad. While still an improvement over the the shows HD broadcast, it felt more like an upconverted DVD than a Blu-ray. The biggest problem was little pieces of grain that seemed to be everywhere in ever scene, sometimes they were very noticable and sometimes i had to strain my eyes to see them, but they were there. Whenever i get a new Blu-ray i pay attention to the quality more than i normally would, usually this has postitve results when I find that i got a pristine new disc. But with Smallville......
