PIP hook up on Kuro?

Wondering if anybody can help me here. I run everything into the Kuro (input 6) on a single HDMI from my receiver. I assume the HDMI will only carry one input signal, so I need to run a second analog input to the Kuro (input 2) direct from my cable box and bypass the receiver. However, when I do that, I can't figure out how to get the Kuro to recognize both inputs. The manual say very little about it.
