What file should open when a disc is inserted?

i have a LITE-ON BD-ROM , model DS-401S. i just rented a couple of movies, and my blu ray player can't seem to start the movie. all that comes up is the directory (explorer). can i just double click on 'a file' (please tell me which file to open)? or is there another way of telling the PC to play the movie without intervention, using either window media player, or winDVD from corel. winDVwas/is the default program to open. but when it opens, it just performs a couple of things, then closes, without any error being written to the application event log.

neither of these will open the right file to start playing the movie. there are 3 directories at root: AACS, BDMV, and CERTIFICATE. is there something i should know why there is no autoplay.wmv? i've looked at the extensions of aacs, it has a bunch of cci & cer & 3 inf files. in the bdmv dir, 2 bdmv (what does that extension try to tell me?) files. and a bunch of dirs.

another disc has the same problem. it wont start the movie. it has the same directories as the previous disc, but adds one, BDSVM/. other than that small item, it has the same files as the previous disc.

could someone point me in the right direction to get these discs to play the movie? thanks.
