Retailers throwing away slipcovers

I don't know that I would ever throw one out, but faced with a copy with a slip cover and one without one of the same movie, I'd choose the one without the slip. I've never liked that look personally. But that's my decision, the store I'm shopping at should not be making the decision for me. If the company released it with a slip cover, that is how it should be sold.
